Don΄t be surprised if you see two historical ships in the Port (“Karaka” and “Tirena”) as they are true replicas built according to the original plans from the Maritime Museum. In the Port there is a building with three large vaults that used to be an arsenal. Today it is a restaurant bearing the same name, decorated as if it was an ancient shipyard. The Old City Port got most of its today visual appearance in the 15th century, with some later additions such as the breakwater Porporela, which is a very popular romantic spot for couples to enjoy amazing sunsets and sounds of waves splashing against the rocks. At the end of Porporela there is a stone-engraved wind rose displaying major winds.
